Double Melee

I think everyone knows this one, but for those that don't:

This move requires that you have nades. Either kind, doesnt matter. To pull off the double-melee move, melee once, then immediately throw a nade, then immediately melee again. If you connect on both melee's, you're opponent should be almost dead, in about the same amount of time it normally takes to melee once.

Note: This move can be hazardous at times if you use a frag nade, as the nade you throw may hit your opponent and ricochet (sp?) back and hit you!

How come in vids I see people double melee and they kill the person instantly? They popped or what?

who knows, it usually takes 3 melles for me personally to get em. 2 if theyre popped, 1 if they are close to dead

you gotta hit them in the head. although I'm not sure if you have to hit both or just one melee in the head

no, 1x backtap is a kill, 2x in the face is a kill and 3x anywhere on the body is a kill(or something like that)

actually the BEST thing to do, is hit them with with a bullet (from pistol, or short burst from AR) THEN double melee. instant kill.

the AR has the fastest melee, and is the absolute best weapon for the double melee.

while the above poster is correct I always favored using the butt of a shottie. It's just comforting for me...

The way the halo melee works:

Melee = 100% melee damage
Melee while moving at target = 150%
melee while targets move toward eachother = 200%

Yeah, I look at it like this.

If you melee an opponent while just walking, it'll do regular damage.

If you melee an opponent while both of you are running towards each other it'll to a larger amount of damage.

If you melee someone while you're in the air, it'll do massive damage.

Sometimes while both of you are running a double melee will kill your opponent in two smacks.

But just about every time you do a double melee in the air, it'll take only two smacks to kill your opponent.

Double melee's are deadly while done in the air and can fuck overshield up fast, especially if the nade hits him.
